Why work with us?
The impetus for the creation of CHTV as an Enabler Hub for community led housing (CLH) in the Tees Valley came from within the pre-existing community-based housing charities in the area. It was recognised that in order to increase and grow the sector, further investment in establishing and nurturing the dialogue with individuals, communities and the Local and Combined Authorities needed to happen.
The CHTV Hub solely operates to serve and further the interests of the local communities in the Tees Valley and improve the housing conditions and affordable homes prospects of those communities in perpetuity. CLH projects, are the best and most beneficial means of achieving quality affordable housing, to individuals the community and Local Authorities.
The CHTV Hub is managed and overseen by the alliance members to ensure that it operates ethically and in line with the established social benefit foundations of the members.
Our alliance
Our alliance members have lived and successfully provided grass route services to the sector for over 30 years; advocating for change, providing housing and support and providing skills and employment opportunities for communities across the Tees Valley. Meaning that you get access and support from likeminded and experienced advisors and professional services that put people first. Our primary role is to coordinate existing and new community led housing (CLH) resources within the Tees Valley area.
Our primary aim being to promote a community‐led housing approach to creating more affordable homes in our area.
We guide you through the process of accessing funding, acquiring the land/property, building the homes you need and managing the properties in the future.
